The Artist

Marta Volontè

Marta Volontè is a young artist, born in Milan in 1997. She began her studies at the German school, showing a passion for drawing from an early age.
At the end of secondary school she decides to enroll in the Umberto Boccioni art school, where she graduates in figurative arts.
However, the growing interest in painting, with particular attention to the oil technique, did not lead her to continue her studies in the artistic field. She prefers to combine his aesthetic research with the faculty of philosophy at the Statale di Milano, where she graduates with a thesis on immaterialism.
The volumes of material painting, created by the dense spatula strokes, conquered over time the first place in the artist's communicativeness, who increasingly focuses on the representation of urban landscapes, protagonists of hes most lasting project, Urbe Angusta, born in 2017.
Already during her university years she began to get in touch with the art world, first as an independent artist and then as a resident artist at the Lambretto Factory.
It is also included in the catalog of painters who participated in the 2019 Christie's auction for AIL, at Palazzo Clerici. To date, the artist's attention is concentrated solely on the cornerstone of his production; the Urbe Angusta project.
